We advise on real estate investments, share purchase agreements, mergers and acquisitions, as well as on current and future taxation for companies and shareholders, regardless of the shareholders place of residence.

NHR Status (Non-Habitual Tax Resident)

This special tax status applies to persons who settle in Portugal and relocate their residence to Portugal. The main requirement for applicants is to not have been a tax resident in Portugal in the five years prior to applying for the NHR status. Depending on the type of income, reduced tax rates or tax exemptions may apply, calling for an individual assessment of each situation.
